Simple Day

February 26, 2008

prayer

After news of a peer passing very unexpectedly, my mind has been consumed of her family still left on earth. There are three children now without their biological parents and a lot for a family to do. I lift them all in prayer. I cannot imagine the circus. So with this, my day was simplified.

After emails and prayers, I spent time with my children, hugging them and telling them I love them. I also retalked to hubby about our lack of Wills and final instructions. We both agree to get on this sooner than later. It’s better to deal with death when you’re not dying (not that you know of). So the decisions will be made and done and those left can grieve without the addition of decision making.

My husband and I are very comfortable with our “life after death” – We have each accepted Jesus into our hearts (read more on our bio page), we let our children know Jesus loves them. In their time, we pray that they too accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. It just so happens at church we’re studying “Daniel” (Beth Moore study) and it’s awesome, I am SO excited about HEAVEN, the real deal and all! Woo Hoo! It’s not just puffy clouds and stuff :)

So my day was simplified. I am praying for those who have not and those who don’t know they need to honestly make a choice from their heart to accept and confess Jesus as their Savior.  It is VERY real. Before Sept 1997, I didn’t believe a lick. But I am very sure now of how REAL this all very much is to me and all I come in contact with on earth.

Temporarily here, serving the One True God, awaiting to be taken to the Eternal Home when God says so.

Sweet Helena, we’ll miss you & pray for your three blessings!

February 26, 2008

Helena and her beloved Andrew I just found out today that Helena Kemp has passed on from this Earth. She was on a PCOS Moms list we’ve been part of for years! She has sweet 5 year old triplets and now they are with out parents. See Helena’s husband passed on before her nearly 2 years ago. WOW! Our list is numb. We just found out.

She is a sweet dear woman who lent me a dress to wear to my brother’s wedding in Dec 2006. She told me to pass it on and let it get used. I was 8 months pregnant and had no winter dressy clothes. I feel priviledged to be gifted this from her. She wore it when she was prego with her dear triplets and went to a formal event for the Jewish Community with her beloved Andrew.

Thrice BlessedWe hope her family will contact us and let us know what we can do for the children. They are loved by all of us who know Helena and all she went through to concieve them with Andrew, have them, love them, loose Andrew, and be a single mom of three. We now pray for the family in their time of grief and taking care of these precious three.

Love and miss you Helena!

Happy Birthday Levi II

February 24, 2008

Levi II is OneWell it’s here, my son’s first birthday! WOW I am so excited! I admit, I am not prepared to have a party, so hubby and I agreed to do one in two weeks. It’s end of the month and we’re quite broke. I have been working on stuff for a large conference that is next weekend, therefore, didn’t stress making party plans. It works out… We LOVE spending intimate family time together anyway, so it’s tourned out quite special. I even feel extra domesticated, I made everything from scratch to save money and do it. Those details I will post in a separate post.

My son is one, well in a few hours to be exact. He has 8 teeth and the 9th one is half way in – a mad molar!! He’s drooling like crazy and crabby and very ‘hold-me’ at night. But then he’s been mocking us, this past week I taught him ‘ut-oh’! heehee it’s so cute. He walks, not too confidently because we dont let him practice on our tile floors! He can do it though and has since his first steps right before Xmas at 9.5 months. He signs milk, more, and eat. The important ones. He’s not the best at it like he was, I blame this molar, but I am glad and he is too, to communicate in some form (other than crying).Happy Birthday Levi II

He used to say mom-mom and da-da but now says “nah-nah” – we think he’s trying to say No No. He does cute raspberries, and does a la-la thing with his tongue. We’re happy with his development and need to get him to a doc for his update appointment and shots. Oh and he likes to point now too. Not too sure how/where he learned it but it’s cute!

I am blessed and give thanks to God, a lot throughout the day, for having Jesus, my husband, a daughter and a son! WOW! This is way too cinderella than I could have ever imagined back-in-the-day or even now.

Thank you God for feeling that I am worthy of these incredible blessings (cause i know you dont have too, but want too!). Off to enjoy the family! *HUGS*

Lemons, to have or not, in Restaurants?

February 23, 2008

Very interesting… I wonder where (what city) this is, I’ll stay away from there. YUK! heehee I am sure it’s similar around the country (world). Hmm, but aren’t lemons a disinfectant?

Being a mommy

February 12, 2008

December 2007 PhotoWhere do I start? I just wanted to talk about today anyway…

I just love these kids! They are both at their own stages learning so much! Lydia is nearing 3 and a half and is getting more confident in her physical ability and trying to learn preschool type stuff (at her own pace of course). Levi II is ready to run with his sister but I admit I am holding him back a bit (not ready to run around for the two, yet).  I just squeeze them tight and tell them I love them. God has really blessed my husband and I with two GREAT kids. It’s amazing He’s entrusted us to raise them. What an honor for sure.

As I type, Levi II is making raspberries and Lydia is nursing her doll. And it gets better everyday!
