Munchie Cure: Pack some Protein

It’s not really a munchie cure but I do my best to eat a lot of protein. Lately, I have added a Whey Protein Drink for a snack, just an 8oz one. I also keep my newest delight… Ants-on-a-log! Never ate as a kid, didn’t like celery or peanut butter, but now, it’s alomost my daily staple. In fact I just had some. I eat about 3-4 celery sticks, lightly filled with peanut butter (read labels on carbs) and my “ants” are not raisins (eww) they are semi-sweet chocolate chips! Remember not to put too many! It’s great!

In today’s world, many people self diagnose and treat with what we find on the internet and I admit, I’m guilty too. I will say with my late mom having been in healthcare, I kind of know a lot alreayd and know what to believe and what not to. With my recent blood work, I have read up on what it all means as a whole… I’m in decent shape!  I have also looked at some numbers individually and with my PCOS background there are a few areas I need to watch. So with reading up on a few things, I just have come to the conclusion that my body needs more protein.

Remember, everyone’s body is different in family health history, with current health and lifestyle, so consult your doctor. I am going to too as soon as I can afford the next doctor visit ($33). I already forked out ($115) money for the blood work and doc visit to tell me to get the blood work. All in time.  What you read for men and women or for an age group are always a general health statement and then we need to tune into our own body and it’s specific needs.

Drink lots of water!!!! and here’s to continued weight loss or weigth maintenance!!!
