[Jackie's NOTE: This post still stands - although the tax issue prayer has been answered, see the post: http://jackiesue.wordpress.com/2008/05/08/prayers-answered-fastprayers-answered-fast/ ]
This is a confession I really don’t like to confess, but we NEED more Monthly Support!
We have really been frugal and buckling down. We’ve lowered our electrical bill by modifying some behavior. We drive alot less. We eat less to make the food go further. We stopped other ‘treats’ like a movie rental (here is it Q15 = $2 a 2 night rental) and so on.
We just got an email from our CPA about our taxes and what we owe. We just realized that 15% needs to go towards self-income tax (since our donors get the tax deduction, some one need to pay the taxes). We were just not in-the-know on how much. So we have 10% to tithe and 15% to taxes, which leaves us the rest to pay bills, emergency savings, any medical that comes up, and more. Well at this time, the bills/expenses eat what is left. The rest - there is no pool for.
So if you or anyone you know needs a tax deduction, please feel free to give ONE TIME or MONTHLY to us living in Guatemala and doing what God has led us to do. We very much feel in HIS WILL. We’re just getting started so I can’t see God taking us out of-the-field right now. Plus it doesn’t seem like he’s saying that. More like - keep buckling down and humble yourself and tell others your needs! We feel God has other lined up to help but we’re not making our needs be known.
Love you for your prayers and potential support. This is very very different for us.

Yesterday We bought our son new shoes. He’s a year and 2 weeks old and has been taking steps since 9.5 months. We bought him a pair and these are his second pair. They are OshKosh Size 6 (usa). We’re so excited. He still tries to take them off but we hope he gets used to it.
