I was surfing my photo shop resources and came across this on a website about copyright and ‘borrowing’ for making something new. This talks about sampling for music, but this can be similar in graphic art with images and such. So many intepretations of what’s what!

These are photos and video we took yesterday. Hope it gives you a glimpse of what it’s like here for Semana Santa (Holy Week).

Electrical Fire

I woke and heard dogs bark and some popping noises. I looked out site and could not figure it out. Then I saw it.. the opening of a metal pipe for an electrical wire was the popping noise source. So I did what we do today… take photos and video!!! You never know what will happen. So below is the video i took when finally the wire broke, which is good cause the electricity source was cut off.

 After i took the video i went out side to see if my neighbors called the fire dept. It seemed to be taking a long time before our security showed up or rhe fire dept or even the electric company. Well I asked if the fire department was coming in my best Spanish. Well she then said, oh you have the number? They hadn’t called. So we called, using my phone. And they came later. And so did our security! UGH! I wish people would know the steps of what to do when things happen. Keep in mind when my video was shot, it had been popping for an hour! *sigh* Glad no one was hurt or a house burnt down.
